From saving a district millions of dollars to recovering a college student's $50,000 scholarship, I bring innovative solutions to every assignment. I am a lifelong advocate for neurodiverse learners. This allows me to step in quickly and immediately create a plan of action which results in positive change for districts, parents, and educators. The most important result is the trajectory of a student's future. How to best support a student is at the heart of every discussion. As an educator, I hold degrees in both special and general education. Ashley's Advocacy has empowered a wide range of students to reach their potential for nearly two decades.
Client's experience with Ashley's Advocacy
Ashley Hingley is an excellent advocate who made a positive impact in my son’s educational experience. Without her perseverance and dedication to make sure his needs were met in the transition from a Colorado school district to Florida school district he would not have had the accommodations required for his success. His least restrictive environment was in question and the incoming district felt he needed an alternative self contained school. Thankfully the IEP was honored in an inclusive traditional high school. After the advocacy the original IEP was implemented with diligence.
Ashley pointed out that our Florida school district had paid for technology tools that were not being utilized by any school within the district. These educational tech tools were included in the two million dollar site license already paid for by the incoming district. Ashley guided the district on the process to register the tech license for each school to help all students like my son. The entire school district benefited from the technology package with all of the embedded accommodations. She made this happen!
In the Colorado school district, my son was in a least restrictive environment immersed in the general classroom the majority of the time. In the Florida school district Ashley had to show evidence that our son was previously successful in an inclusive environment with the technology accommodations. That remained the educational environment that was best for him and how he learned. She told them my son was successful in a heterogeneous classroom environment where he is supported with appropriate accommodations, measurable goals written, and executed in a well implemented IEP. Ashley showed the Florida school district evidence of this from my son's past proven measured successes in his MAP scores.
Without Ashley’s advocacy and understanding of the law my son would have had a very different life. She focused conversations on what was best for my son’s success. He would not have had the growth or positive learning experiences in high school without the advocacy. Ashley’s support helped all children on IEPs in our Florida school district.
In fact, the administrator in charge of special education in our Florida school district thanked me for involving Ashley in this process because it truly benefited the district as well.
I give Ashley (Palmer) Hingley my highest recommendation as a caring knowledgable and professional special education advocate. If you need someone to look out for the best interest of your child, she is exactly who you are looking for!
